Welcome back to Monday.
What can I say, I love my job. Today really turned out to be a great day. I was able to get a lot of things accomplished, including finalizing Telligent's MS Gold Partner Certification. I'm really excited about this as it will give us access to 100 CALs for various software packages as well as giving us Open License keys. Up till now I've been having to use individual keys and that doesn't make for much fun. With our soon to come OLKs I'll be able to push software via group policy to new and existing machines. OLKs are really the best way to do this stuff. In addition to the Gold Certification we've started our first steps toward a few really big projects for the Infrastructure team. One project will be implementing our own Exchange server. We'll also be pushing out a BlackBerry Enterprise server to support our BB users. I'll make sure I post here about any trials or tribulations that I run into. I've already done a test run with Exchange 2003 and I've seen a few places that require registry hacks and such. I was able to get it up and running serving OWA, HTTP over RPC and of course serving to Outlook clients on the same network. It took about a week to sort through it the first time but I think once we are ready to implement the new server it should go even smoother. (and quicker)
I've got a couple of ideas about what to post next but I need to fill out the detail. (aka finish solving the problems) I hope to put something up here tomorrow. umm or I guess it would be later today since it is after midnight.
Oh one more thing, congrats to Ado and Dawn on a beautiful baby boy Bitar. Welcome to the world Zeke.
