This weekend Stacy and I got a little crazy… We went camping in the middle of El Paso in our little camper. To celebrate our 22nd anniversary.
I know this sounds just a little bit unusual, but if you know us, then you know we are indeed a little unusual. 😊
So here is the story. Our anniversary was back in January, but I had to be away. With that in mind, we brainstormed a few ideas and hit upon just taking out the camper and spending time together. This seems odd, but we’d never actually taken the camper out with just the two of us before, it was always as a family.
Out we went, and it was grand! We played various games including Bananagrams, Carcassonne, and Everdell. And we ate pizza. And we took time out. This was just a great time for us to be together, hang-out, relax, and enjoy talking. It was truly a blessing getting to be with my bride. When we spend time together at retreats or like this, I am always amazed that I get to be married to her. She is such a wonderful woman, and I am truly blessed to be her husband.
We’ve had an amazing 22 years, and I know the next 22 will be just as wonderful, because I am married to my best friend.
