So following up on Tuesday’s decision of preparing to run a marathon I ran 10 miles today. The first couple of miles it was brrr cold. You know like “I’m a bald bunny ain’t got no fur, I’m a bald bunny brr brr brr.”
Anyway, I was using the heart rate monitor again and for the most part it let me keep up a good pace. It only screeched at me when I’d run uphill. For some reason my heart seems to work a little harder running uphill. 🙂 I ended up keeping a 10 minute pace. I’d like to see that go down to a 8:30 – 9 minute pace, but I know it is just a matter of work.
On another good note, between today’s run and Tuesday’s run I burned over 3500 calories so theoretically I should be down about a pound this week. I know it won’t be exact, but I feel pretty good about burning calories while running. I remember from my first time in the Army that with enough running we could eat ANYTHING.
