WOW, so I forgot this blog even existed. Here it is just a few days past eight years since I headed out for my initial training in Fort Sill, Oklahoma. I came back in the Army as a Chemical Operations Specialist, and have since been a member of the 82nd Airborne Division in Fort Bragg, deployed to Iraq, lived in Korea for a year, Maryland for nine months, Georgia for a year, and now I’m back at Bragg, but about to leave again. Life has changed a little bit during these eight years. I came back in as an E4/Specialist, I advanced in rank to become a Sergeant First Class, and then was selected to become a Warrant Officer. So that is where I am now. A newly promoted warrant officer waiting for my basic course, after which we will be moving yet again, but this time to Fort Bliss, Texas.
Across the years in the Army, I have had some fun, had some “interesting” times, and had some challenging times. Through it all I have always been able to count on Jesus and my family. Without Jesus, I would be lost, literally eternally lost, and without my bride and my daughter I would be without the best two things on this earth.
I’d like to write more often again, so we’ll see how this goes this time, but if you’re reading this, thanks for taking a few minutes to catch up with me.
P.S. I’ve included a bunch of OLD blog posts I had from previous blogs, so there are some things going back to 2008/09 from before I had even thought about joining the Army again.
