Friday afternoon Bride’s parents and my grandmother took both the kids for the weekend so we could have some time just to ourselves. As any parent of youngsters knows, alone time is truly rare, so we are very blessed to have our family near us at this time.
Friday night we got absolutely crazy wild, we ran an errand and then as we drove by a little taco shop, I’d been wanting to try we swung in there and grabbed 2 tacos, then headed home to a blissfully quiet home where we watched TV and chatted. The tacos got us thinking though and Saturday we went on our great “Tacos al Pastor” hunt. After the tacos we had a free night at a hotel provided by her mom. Again, CRAZY WILD, she worked on her blog, and I read. But we did it enjoying the peace and quiet, talked when we wanted and just enjoyed time together. Sunday morning, we played hooky and skipped church, but found a Starbucks with comfy chairs and sat for 4 hours reading and writing before going to get the kiddos.
I know we may not be the most exciting people, but we have fun together and we’re not afraid to try new things and follow God.
